Players made their debuts of the year at Thursday twilight tennis.
In section one, Barry’s Diamonds were relentless and held their sway over the Peteless Pistols, winning 28 games to 20.
The team looks forward to when Pete Extedt returns from injury.
In section two, the local derbies, Springs Medical’s Albert’s Aces lost 19 games to Hepburn Healthy’s 29, while Primaries gave Secondaries a lesson, beating them 38 games to 10.
Elsewhere, Scrambled Legs overcame Rod’s Rockets 33 games to 15 while Shenanigans beat Gossip Girls 37 games to 11.
In the Saturday competition, Alister Ferrier won with 21 games and 11 losses ahead of Sam Curtin’s 19 wins and 15 losses.
Julian McLucas won 17 games to 16 losses, pipping Brian Nolan on percentage with his 18 games and 17 losses.
In Section two, Annette Rodda, despite being well behind on 14 wins and 10 losses after the third of four sets, swamped Gabe Kirby 18 wins to five losses after three sets.
She went on to win a final set six games to 0, to win with 20 games and 10 losses, over Gabe’s 18 wins and 11 losses.
Tanya Bull came in third with 16 wins and 13 losses.
