Visitors will enter through the Vincent Street door to be seated in the balcony area, which caters for 250 people. The cinema will screen a number of films during the school holidays, from Friday September 21 until Sunday October 7.
After the holidays, the cinema will go back into recess due to bookings at the Town Hall but will re-commence for the Christmas holidays, during which time it will run from Friday December 21 until Tuesday January 29.
After the Christmas holidays, the cinema will screen every weekend, from Friday until Sunday, until the new cinema opens at The Rex.
Daylesford Community Theatre president Gina Lyons said the cinema committee wanted to offer consistency so the community would know when the cinema was open and hoped the location on Vincent St would be more enticing than the previous location at Victoria Park.
We think the convenience of its central location in Vincent Street will be a big attraction for people.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer films to our community and visitors from the Town Hall. We think the convenience of its central location in Vincent Street will be a big attraction for people,” Ms Lyons said.
“We have confirmed a program of latest release movies with our booking agent and we’re raring to go.”
Hepburn Shire Council chief executive officer Evan King said the council jumped at the opportunity to use the Town Hall as a temporary cinema.
“The cinema is a highly valued community asset and we know people will be delighted to be able to see the latest films locally again.
“We understand that the delays in The Rex redevelopment have impacted the cinema, so we are very happy to be working with them to use the iconic Town Hall as a temporary cinema until the new cinema re-opens at the Rex,” he said.
