As 18 girls turned up wanting to be involved in the final, their coaches faced a dilemma in how to play them all in a nine-side game.
But the final result did not matter. What mattered was the fact the girls turned up in big numbers to show that female soccer is in demand in the region and that it was here to stay.
In years to come, their coaches hope the young girls will be aware of the impact they had on female soccer in the Central Highlands, after Alice, Ahlia, Zoe and Billy led the way after competing in the predominantly male under 15s side.
They lit the fire of this rebellion that will inspire more girls and women to pick up a soccer ball and play the game.
In years to come, girls will talk of Maddie, Anouk, Neisa, Ellah, Olivia, Lulu and Sierra M. The time of Immogen, Ginger, Mackie, Sierra B, Zara, Neallah and Ava. The era of Mons, Nina, Belle, Ruby, Eve and Stevie.
