Thursday, Nathaniel’s Birthday, Whiskey Room @ Spa Bar, Daylesford

The Whiskey Room is Mary Bureaux, Sue Klerks and Bernard Klerks. Each brings a wealth of musical experience spanning jazz, blues and classical genres.

Mary studied jazz at NMIT, creative arts at VCA and has sung in jazz-blues-funk, reggae and indie bands. Bernard has studied jazz (bass and double bass) at VCA and has played in jazz, reggae, popular and blues bands. He has toured Germany and Ireland as a musician and currently plays in two other groups who regularly play in the Ballarat and Trentham areas. Sue’s training was in classical music but she has always enjoyed singing jazz and blues and has played and sang in a range of popular, a capella, jazz and blues groups.

Their repertoire consists of old-style blues and folk songs with a touch of jazz.

Friday, Ivy Streep @ Spa Bar, Daylesford

Original indie, punk, alt rock. Featuring Harry Wrigglesworth, Lachie Hobson and Floyd Quinlan-Baskett.

Saturday, The Screaming Riels @ Spa Bar, Daylesford

Four-piece band, featuring members from Australia, Brazil and Amsterdam and playing classic pop/rock covers and originals.

Friday, Friday Frivolities @ Old Hepburn Hotel

Friday, Jazz Deuce @ Blue Bean Cafe

Featuring Norm Gray on flugelhorn and vocals and Simon Wigney on guitar, the duo plays the great American jazz standards of the 30s through to the 50s. Tunes made popular by Sinatra, Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart and Jobim provide a nice  background to wining, dining romancing and relaxing.

Saturday, Scott Fraser @ Blue Bean Cafe

Something of a guitar-playing journey man, Fraser has played gigs as varied as for the Hells Angels in a small pub in the middle of Victoria to gigs for HeartKids at Lindsay Fox's Car museum in Melbourne. Fraser’s CD Tired Town features originals with Damian Howard and Brendan O'Neill and Fred Sass on harp and guitar.

Sunday, Ellerby @ Blue Bean Cafe

Friday, Baby Blue & Georgia Spain @ Bridge Hotel, Castlemaine

Establishing themselves as a live force to be reckoned with, Baby Blue have played relentlessly in their short time together as a band, with a strong fan base continuing to build in tow. Having performed alongside an impressive list of both local and international outfits such as Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Benjamin Booker, Husky, The Ocean Party, The Courtneys, Chastity Belt, Leah Senior and more, Baby Blue have become a powerful and compelling live act.  Join Baby Blue in launching Do What You Like with special guests Georgia Spain and band.
