Ron Murray, Wamba Wamba man, cultural educator, storyteller and musician, will share Indigenous stories and demonstrate how the didgeridoo is played.
Through his work, Murray, based in Castlemaine, shares positive stories about Aboriginal people and their contributions to Australian society. Murray has performed for many faces like the Queen of England, Muhammad Ali, Yusaf Islam (Cat Stevens) and Sir Bob Geldof.
The NAIDOC week celebration is one of many across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Indigenous people. The event is suitable for all ages.
Murray will be at The Warehouse in Clunes on Wednesday July 11 at 3.30pm and at Daylesford Library on Thursday July 12 at 3.30pm. The following day, Friday July 13, Murray will be at Creswick Hub at 1.30pm followed by Trentham Library at 3.30pm.
