The 2018 Hunt Shield was presented to the Pennant Team of Ray Skinner, Lawrie Lees, Dean Marshall, Kevin Steart, Rob Dixon and Karsen Osborne-Purser.
The pennant is played over two Sundays over 72 holes against teams from Beaufort, Lexton, Talbot, Maryborough, Skipton and Avoca. Skipton and Avoca.
The final was played out at Beaufort against a team from Beaufort.
President of Clunes Golf Club, Lawrie Lees, said it was a close result.
“It was a close finish, with the result hanging on the last hole,” Mr Lees said.
“The whole team from Clunes were chuffed with the winning result for two years in a row. Everyone played their part in the team, which was the reason for the successful outcome. We are all looking forward to the challenge for 2019,” he said.
