An 18-year-old Maryborough man has had his car impounded after being arrested in Daylesford on Monday afternoon.

A concerned parent called police at 3.20pm with a report of a car doing burn outs outside Daylesford Secondary College, near the Smith Street bus depot. He was arrested in East Street at 4.00pm.
The man, on his learner’s permit, was driving without a fully licensed occupant supervising. He was also driving an unregistered vehicle.
The man has been charged with relevant licensing and registration offenses, including Reckless Conduct Endanger Serious Injury.
A spokesperson for Daylesford police station said the area was busy with pedestrians and vehicles as students were leaving school for the day.
The driver’s vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
He has been bailed to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates’ Court.
