The General Manager for Infrastructure, Bruce Lucas, was appointed as interim chief executive officer of Hepburn Shire Council on May 15.

Mr Lucas will begin the role on June 2, following the departure of Aaron van Egmond.
Mayor John Cottrell said Mr Lucas had the skills and knowledge to lead the organisation through the the appointment of a new CEO.
“Bruce is a highly valued and competent member of council’s leadership team,” he said.
Mr Lucas said he was looking forward to the challenges the role presented.
“I look forward to working with the mayor, councillors and all our staff, to keep the organisation moving forward until the new CEO commences.
“It is nice to have the ‘vote of confidence’ from councillors and many messages of support from across the organisation”, Mr Lucas said.
Mr van Egmond said he has every confidence in Mr Lucas’ ability to perform the role.
