The burn, located 1km north of Hepburn (grid reference: BU478678), will be 86.1ha.
Forest Fire Management Victoria said residents should close doors and windows to prevent smoke from entering their homes.
The Department of Health and Human Services said residents should seek medical advice if experiencing symptoms due to smoke exposure.
Road travel may be hazardous due to low visibility associated with smoke, so signs may be in place to slow traffic.
Access to walking tracks, car parks, camping grounds and picnic sites in areas close to the burn area may be restricted.
The burn will be carried out from Friday April 20 until Sunday April 22.
