More than 80 bands participated in this year’s competition, which was held over the Easter weekend.
In their first ever trip to a national competition, Daylesford Community Brass Band came equal third place in the street march.
Creswick Youth Brass won the Junior Brass Band March and placed second on stage in its grade.
One Creswick band member, Benjamin Gray, picked up the award for best junior drum major.
Creswick Brass Band also did exceptionally well, winning the National Championship title for D-grade by winning best hymn, march, test piece and own choice over Croydon Band, which placed second.
All three bands welcome new members.
