And the 22-year-old has turned that passion into a thriving business that is seeing clients flock from all around the state to her Clunes home for that special care.
Ms Jones has started Danni’s Dog Grooming which is providing a one-on-one grooming care for canines big and small.
“I’ve always loved dogs, in fact animals in general and I love grooming them,” Ms Jones said.
“I was working at Petstock for two years and I absolutely loved the work I was doing there, but I decided I wanted to branch out on my own.
“I’ve been doing this now for one year and four months. It’s all been through word of mouth and as Clunes continues to grow so does the business.
“I don’t have hobbies, these guys are my hobby and I love getting up and coming to work everyday.” Ms Jones’ entrepreneurial spirit has been recognised with a Ripon Youth Award as part of Victorian Youth Week which runs until April 22, which was presented to her by Ripon MP Louise Staley.
“It’s a complete shock to be awarded this,” she said. “Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that I could win something like this.”
Ms Staley said the Youth Week award was an encouragement for young people in the community getting out and having a go.
She said she was excited to be able to present the award to an up-and-coming business woman.
Events will be staged all throughout Victoria during the week, celebrating people aged 12-25 doing extraordinary things in the community.
