Forest Fire Management Victoria and the CFA are advising the community in and around Hepburn Shire that planned burns will be ignited in Trentham, Lyonville and Greendale within the next 24 hours if weather conditions are suitable.

Where: Old Lyonville Track, 2km west of Newbury. (Grid reference: BU587563)
When: To be ignited between 10.00am Tuesday April 3 and midnight Wednesday April 4.
LYONVILLE (120.7ha)
Where: Lyonville Springs Road, 0.5km north of Lyonville. (Grid reference: BU573592)
When: To be ignited between 10.00am Wednesday April 4 and midnight Friday April 6.
GREENDALE (433.9ha)
Where: Charcoal Track, 3km north of Greendale. (Grid reference: BU612449)

FFMV advises that residents may be affected by smoke, traffic changes and park closures.
It advises residents to close doors and windows to prevent smoke from entering houses and to call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024 if experiencing symptoms of smoke exposure.
Road travel may be hazardous in and around the aforementioned areas due to the low visibility associated with smoke. Signs may be in place to slow traffic. To check travel times, visit http://traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au
Access to forest and park recreation sites will also be limited. People should steer clear of areas where burns are taking place. Access to walking tracks, car parks, camping grounds and picnic sites close to the burn areas may be restricted. FFMV advises that the planned burns will be ignited on Tuesday April 3 and will burn until Friday April 6.
