Allendale Nursery manager Rebecca Sprosen claimed the suspect, believed to be in her 60s, stole more than $700 worth of herbs on Creswick-Newstead Road at the weekend. “This time my nice new neighbours saw the suspicious actions of the perpetrator,” Ms Srosen said.
“It was an older lady, over 60, with short grey hair, driving an older model Volvo, probably a 90s model around about 2.30 on Sunday.”
It is the second time the nursery has been hit by a burglary in just months.
In October, thieves stole more than $5000 worth of herb seedlings from the property.
“The value is irrelevant - it is the act of taking what is not yours,” Ms Sprosen said.
