The event is expected to attract enthusiasts from across the country and movie buffs are already sharing their excitement for the event.

Brett Burge displayed his Mad Max replica car at the Ballarat Motorcycle Expo last month and said the car would be on show in Clunes for the 2019 anniversary event.

Event organiser Mark Burke said the anniversary event would be exciting for Mad Max fans across the country and internationally.

“A lot of people will be coming over from America and Japan. Japan has been hosting a lot of Mad Max conventions,” Mr Burke said.

“A lot of Mad Max one was shot in and around Clunes. It’s an iconic Mad Max area,” Mr Burke said.
