Trentham’s Little Gallery may be a small space but its annual Christmas Show of small, affordable art has drawn big crowds, with Friday’s opening night spilling out to the street.

More than 1000 visitors attended the last two shows, helping to generate record interest from local artists.

Little Gallery co-founder Rose Wilson said almost 50 local artists had put up their hands to take part in the exhibition.

“Our gallery operates as an artists’ co-operative and one objective we had when we created this exhibition in 2014 was to offer as many local new and emerging artists as possible a chance to show their works alongside more established artists. It’s a relatively new show but it has quickly become one of this region’s major events.”

It runs until December 31 at Trentham’s Little Gallery.
