Mrs Hungerford, a former actress, will step down from the organising role due to the impact of Parkinson’s disease.
Mr and Mrs Hungerford have been involved in organising the carols, which raises funds for CFA volunteers, for over 16 years.
“It is meant to be a community event, to get people together, to meet your neighbours, and show support for the local CFA volunteers,” Mr Hungerford said.
The Newlyn and Dean Community Carols will take place at the Newlyn Community Sporting Complex at 7.15pm on Friday.
Trentham is also hosting Carols in the Park at Quarry Street Reserve, High Street, from 6pm on Friday.
UPDATE: The Trentham Carols in the Park has been postponed to Friday December 15 due to weather conditions.
