The volunteer-run event held at Daylesford Community Park, is taking a new approach this year, with an extended fair schedule to run from 10am to 7.30pm.
Volunteer Janette Hommel said the fair was about bringing the community getting together.
“All the community groups will be there,” she said.
Live music will run throughout the day into the evening, with an open mic competition for children and teenagers until 1pm.
Volunteer Brendan O’Conal said the day aimed to provide entertainment for the town’s youth. “I want to see the fair keep happening. There is nothing in this town for the kids.”
All funds raised will go toward the revamp of the Daylesford skate park, a cause which has resulted in a passionate group of skaters working to raise funds throughout the year. The fair will run from 10am to 7.30pm on Sunday.
