Hepburn students lend helping hand

Passionate about the environment, on Tuesday, October 17 the Friends of Cornish Hill hosted a one-day workshop for 69 students from Yandoit, Bullarto, Drummond and Daylesford primary schools and the Dharma school.

The sun was shining and Smiths Creek sparkled as groups of students moved through five rotations, each related to a different aspect of the habitat.

They learnt how the impact of urban development and overuse of chemicals play an key role in destroying the habitat that smaller creatures call home.

Funding from the Victorian government, Hepburn shire, Daylesford's community bank and the Community Op shop allowed the Friends to engage wonderful presenters for each activity.
