We're proud to share some of our most stunning landscapes for the Daylesford Ride 2017.
- Cr Sebastian Klein, Hepburn Shire mayor
Event host SME360 CEO Martin Jolly said Daylesford was the perfect place to launch a new event, as the Hepburn and Daylesford region offered beautiful surroundings and many attractions for all the family.
“Known as the ‘wellness region’ with its extensive spa and health focus and a wide variety of accommodation, it is a perfect match for a cycling event,” Mr Jolly said.
“We are also putting a special emphasis on attracting women to participate in the ride, and we look forward to supporting the great work the Breast Cancer Network does.”
Hepburn Shire mayor Sebastian Klein said the region would offer a unique road cycling event.
"We're proud to share some of our most stunning landscapes for the Daylesford Ride 2017. It's great to host premier cycling in the region,” Cr Klein said.
“Starting and finishing in Daylesford, and travelling through townships such as Shepherds Flat, Hepburn, Maldon, Malmbury and Kyneton, it will be an exceptional and unique road cycling event.”
Traffic conditions will be changed with speed reductions and traffic management at intersections along the course on October 28. Suggested detours for drivers will be in place.
