The move is seen as a positive and it is hoped will significantly benefit the Trentham club in the longer term.
Trentham is keen to make an impression in its first season in the GDCA following a solid performance last season in which both its senior teams made the semi-finals in the Castlemaine Association A-Reserve and B Grades.
This season, the club is again entering two teams into the senior competition draw and aims to have a strong youth presence to continue to build the club’s future. The club is also trying to field an under-13 or under-11 team.
The new season will begin on October 7 with the First Eleven competing in a one-day match in the GDCA C Grade, while the Second Eleven will play their first match on October 14 in E Grade.
Practice for the senior squads will be held at Trentham Sportsground at 5pm each Thursday from October 5 (weather permitting). Junior practice will be held on Wednesdays at 5pm from October 18.
Any prospective new or returning senior or junior players or people wanting to help at the club - male and female - can contact Sally Boyer on 0407 122233, or Mark Reid on 0408 726832.
