Sunday, Someday June @ Blue Bean Cafe, Hepburn Springs
From a small bedroom in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs emerges indie-folk duo, Someday June.
The duo originated with guitarist, Troy White, accompanying singer-songwriter, Bec Sykes, on her moody, melody-driven folk songs.
While Sykes’ folk influences remain at the centre of Someday June's sound, White’s love of soul music and knack for minimalist, catchy guitar riffs has helped shape the duo's music.
Together, the pair create subtle, satisfying harmonies and interesting melodies, drawing influence from artists like Paul Dempsey and Daughter.
