Vice-president Jock Charles said the $160,000 lighting project, funded by the state government and the Hepburn Shire Council, would be a huge addition to the club’s facilities.
In recent times, the club’s senior team has been forced to hire a pitch at Morshead Park to train over winter. This will no longer be the case once the project is finished, which the club expects will be mid-August.
“The surface out at Lindsay Park is magnificent, it’s as good as anything in Ballarat. Just having these lights I think will attract a few more quality people and being close enough to Ballarat we should be able to tap into some good people,” Charles said.
The club will host a reunion on July 29 and is encouraging all past and present players, coaches and supporters to come along. Tickets can be booked online: creswicksc.teamapp.com or call Charles 0447 418 295.
