The commitment was made at last week’s council meeting, with council allocating $20,000 for the sails as part of the mid-year budget review.
The $125,000 slash park was officially opened in December 2016 as part of the precinct redevelopment which included the construction of a new skate park.
Creswick ward councillor Don Henderson said since its opening the splash park had been a huge success with locals and visitors alike, and the sails would provide more reasons for families to visit the town.
“The number of people who have been coming from Ballarat and beyond to use the park has been amazing, and they think it’s fabulous,” Cr Henderson said.
“You wouldn't have imagines that a splash park would provide an economic boost but the shops around town have been getting plenty of business from it.”
