In its fourth year, organisers say the event continues to get bigger each year.
Organiser Simone Gordon said the aim of the 10-day festival was to showcase the region’s food and wine.
She said the event was a great chance for people in the region to celebrate the best growers, chefs and restaurants in the Daylesford Macedon Ranges region.
Some of the events include farmers markets, tasting plates, unique dinners, open says and even special deals on produce and wine.
“People can eat great food, learn about charcuterie and how producers grow organic fruit and vegetables and you can learn about cider,” Miss Gordon said.
“People can have a behind the scenes look at things.”
Miss Gordon said Eganstown farm, Jonai Farms was taking part in the event for the first time.
“Food lovers will be able to tour the free range pig farm and meet the farm’s growing herd of a rare breed of black pigs,” Miss Gordon said.
“They will demonstrate some butchery, show you where your favourite cuts come from and then finish the day with a barbecue of American-style ribs.”
Tammi Jonas from Jonai Farms said she was looking forward to the event.
She said the festival was a great opportunity for people in the region to show off what they had to offer.
Miss Gordon encouraged people of the region to download the festival program and book in quick, with tickets selling fast. For more information and to download a program visit www.dmproduce.com.au/harvest-week-festival-2.html
