The ceremony is amid the roll-out of Australian Marriage Law postal surveys to households this week.
CAFS president Gayle Boschert the rainbow flag raising fit the organisation’s vision that everyone – regardless of ethnic and cultural differences, age, gender, ability, or sexuality – feel included and valued.
“We welcome and invite the public to come along to recognise the plight of many LGBTIQ people. We can do our bit to help reverse some of the challenges they, and other minority groups, continue to face,” Ms Boschert said.
“(It) is a simple gesture but one that clearly demonstrates that CAFS values diversity and condemns intolerance.”
The rainbow flag raising ceremony will be at CAFS Lydiard Street North base on Thursday at 10am.
