He was off duty when he was killed on his motorbike in a crash with a car at Darley, near Bacchus Marsh, on September 8.
Sergeant Hills was officer-in-charge at the Daylesford Police Station and Bacchus Marsh Police Station and has been remembered as kind and community-minded.
