A candlelight soirée kicks off the program on Saturday night at St John’s Church Creswick, featuring organist Ann Morgan, soprano Vivien Hamilton and flautist Alison Catanach.
St Paul’s Church Clunes will host Boîte in Concert featuring Vino Prasanna and John Flanagan Trio on Sunday afternoon before the final performance at St John’s Church Creswick, Songs and Stories of the Solstice performed by Amie Brûlée and Peter Daffy.
Festival instigator and parish priest Ryan Bennett said that the Winter Solstice program was chosen to showcase established local and national artists who will perform music to both enliven and soothe the soul.
“The festival has attracted an enthusiastic and diverse audience,” he said.
The Four Seasons Fine Music Festival celebrates the changing of the seasons, beginning in February with two summer concerts followed by an autumn performance at Clunes Booktown.
Festival patron Tim Fischer and his wife Judy attended the summer and autumn programs.
“With great settings and deep sounding organs, with an energy and diversity, this festival and all its events are to be commended and supported. I look forward to sharing the Winter Solstice with music lovers,” Mr Fischer said.
