The Sovereigns took home the four points in both the championship and 19/under divisions last week and is expecting to build on that tally, says championship assistant coach Kim Bailey.
The championship outfit sits eighth on the VNL ladder, two places behind its Wednesday opponent, but is only percentage off the Saints.
Sovereigns will be without Melbourne Vixens mid-courter Khao Watts, who played a half in last week’s win over Peninsula Waves, but expects to get a full game out of gun goaler Andrea Tai – who shot at 93% in her three quarters last week.
“Hopefully it’ll come together again, we stuck to our game plan last week and if we can do that again I think we’ll get the victory,” Bailey said.
“She (Tai) makes a real difference...if we get the ball in her hands we’ll be in the game.”
The division one side suffered a disappointing loss last week and will be eager to respond against the Saints best performing side.
“We played poorly last week. They’re only two games off (us on the ladder), so I think we can get the win.”
While the 19/unders take on a Saints team yet to register victory and will be favoured to win.
