Winemakers from across Australian and New Zealand will be promoting their “low intervention” drops, where minimal additives have been used in order to retain the characteristics of their grape and growing region.
Event co-organiser Bronwyn Liddelow said the afternoon, which would showcase drops from almost 40 winemakers, aimed to educate the drinking public on the diversity of low-sulphur wines.
“There’s a new wave of winemakers who are ditching the university approach to wine making,” Ms Liddelow said. “We want to show there’s lots of people making delicious, clean, approachable wines which happen to be low in sulphur.”
An interactive wine tasting with food from the Country Women's Association and Dele Foodie Food Van will run from 1-5pm, with an afterparty kicking on until 10pm.
