The council plan must be approved by June 30, detailing objectives and strategies. Placing the proposed council plan on public exhibition is the first step of the approval process.
The plan was developed following a community engagement process including a series of community workshops and an online forum.
The five strategic objectives identified for the shire focus on active and engaged communities, quality community infrastructure, a sustainable environment, vibrant economy and a high performing organisation.
Financial implications of the plan are considered in the 2017/ 2018 budget which is also available for public review.
The council plan has been made available for public inspection at council offices in Daylesford, Clunes and Creswick, at libraries in Daylesford and Trentham, and on the council website.
Cr Kate Redwood said it was important for the community to note if they have a passion they would like to see delivered in the next four years, it must be in the council plan as it relates directly to the budget.
