Ballarat dogs will “hound” the pavement at the RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk next month.
The annual event sees thousands of dogs around the country walk in support of Australia’s most recognised animal welfare not-for-profit. Ballarat organiser Leia Martin said the walk was a fun way to support the RSPCA.
“I 100 per cent back what the RSPCA do,” she said.
“If you can help out on the ground level such as raising funds then you’re contributing to all the work that they do.”
Million Paws Walk is on Sunday, May 21 and starts at 10am at Pine Avenue, Newington. Entry is $15 for adults if bought online and $20 on the day. Entry is $10/$15 for children, $40/$50 for families and $12/$17 for concession.
Funds raised through registrations, merchandise sales and online fundraising will go towards RSPCA programs, adoption, veterinary services, campaigns and inspectorate. For more information or to register visit www.millionpawswalk.com.au/VIC/ballarat. The event is cash only.
