Coach Claire Blackstock was not surprised with the impressive display, believing the new-look side was certainly capable of top-level netball.
“Our girls were absolutely pumped to get round one under their belts, there were a lot of nerves about taking on last year’s premiers,” Blackstock said after the match.
“After the first quarter the belief was there and they just took that and ran with it.”
