The program, which originated in Europe, aims to teach children to identify medical emergencies and call triple 0 as well as perform basic CPR and operate an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Pupils also received hands-on experience by transferring the information onto their parents in an interactive class.
Ambulance Victoria Beaufort team manager Clare Kingston said equipping children with the skills to recognise and act on a medical emergency would benefit the whole community.
“Any CPR is better than no CPR,” Ms Kingston said.
“Early CPR and defribillation are key links in this chain of survival – a process which can help save the lives of people in sudden cardiac arrest.”
“These pupils can not only teach their community, but in turn become the next generation of lifesavers.”
