District manager Tony English has recommended winter as a premium time to explore Hepburn Regional Park, near the townships of Hepburn Springs and Daylesford, with a wide range of “interesting walks and sights”.
“At this time of year, the watercourses are full, and the sound and sight of water rushing over the pebbled streambeds is nothing short of exhilarating,” he said.
“An interesting walking destination which provides visitors with fascinating glimpses of goldmining history is provided by the Blowhole, which is in full glorious spate right now.”
Parks Victoria recently announced it would soon begin to repair the staircase to Sailors Falls, just outside Daylesford, which have been out of operation for more than a year.
