Physiotherapist Cameron Ivchenko has been operating through Hepburn Health Service and has opened the Creswick based Central Highlands Health recently with two co-physios. The clinic operates six days a week by appointment.
“We do full diagnostic sleep tests, (sent to) a sleep physician in Melbourne (who is) primarily looking at quantifying snoring obstructive sleep apnoea, periodic leg movement syndrome and insomnia,” Mr Ivchenko said.
Mr Ivchenko said sleep disorders were largely undiagnosed and could predispose people to develop other illnesses, like metabolic disorders, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and stroke.
The clinic hopes to expand its services to include a visiting optometrist, a speech pathologist and audiologist and ensure country people can access all services. The clinic is open to people of all ages. Call 0400 378 159.
