On Sunday 24th January Steven competed in and won the Boneo World Cup Qualifier, the last main event for the Australian season and will leave next week for Germany in an effort to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
To be considered for selection, the Australian Showjumping Team are required to compete throughout Europe in qualifying shows over the next five months; competing against the best showjumpers in the world.
This elite group of riders will then be ranked on their performances.
Steven is one of 10 riders selected to make the journey. At the end of May, a squad of eight will be chosen and then closer to the Olympics in August, a team of five will be selected to compete in Rio.
