Join these domestic divas in this hilarious cabaret/burlesque show.
It’s described as cabaret with a taste of burlesque and will offer a cheeky and sharply witty exploration of the pitfalls of love and marriage.
The evening will be full of original and classic songs featuring three of the lovely ladies from the Bliss Bombs – Ivy Poison, Cherry Flambé and a guest burlesque appearance from Bella Puckerlips (Words In Winter Festival).
Friday, Family Farm @ Perfect Drop
Stacy Kilpatrick (fiddle/keys), Steve Douglas (guitar), Shane Biggs (upright bass) and Jeremy Meaden (trumpet) will be performing their Americana inspired repertoire, usually with some originals thrown into the mix.
Sunday, The Stetson Family @ Old Hepburn Hotel
The name says it all really.
With their tight harmonies and vibrant sound, it’s hard to believe that The Stetson Family has only been together since 2008.
“They blend like one of the legendary bluegrass or country families, and on True North, they sound better than ever with some of their best material yet.” Rick Moore, American Songwriter and Music News Los Angeles .
For lovers of beautiful bluegrass and country, a gig not to be missed.
Sunday, Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk @ Bridge Hotel, Castlemaine
Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk fans are stripping to their togs in support of new single Swimsuit.
Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk are a two-piece tour de force, residing in the type of perfect blues-based boogie favoured by the late John Lee Hooker.
Spending the past two years on the road in support of The Age Music Victoria Genre Award-nominated second album Shakedown (Best Blues Album), the duo have blown away audiences, sounding “more like a five-piece band” on two headline national tours.
Temperatures will rise when Chris Russell's Chicken Walk unleash their new single, Swimsuit, from upcoming LP Drive, a noir-inspired blues-danger album that leaves past Chicken Walk records in the dust.
With more Melbourne, money and Mississippi than ever before!
