The U3A-hosted event saw more than 100 people pack the Town Hall for the second annual evening.
It was an evening of all things French – including a self-catered dinner.
Organiser Robyn Lawrence coined the celebration a success.
“This is second one, the idea is that it is a celebration of culture, language and food, with all members of the Daylesford community,” Ms Lawrence said.
“There are a number of French speaking nationals in the community – they speak French regularly, so it’s good to have an expression of French culture.”
The Daylesford Brass Band performed La Marseillaise and a number of songs from the hit French revolution musical Les Miserables.
“Donny Spooner and fellow singers regaled us with a selection of French songs and chanties,” she said.
All funds raised will help the band purchase instruments.
