Co-organiser Jacinta Carboon said the annual festival had put the small town on the map and continued to wow audiences this year.
"We had stilt walkers and face painting for the kids and even sack races for adults and children," she said.
"We had the most terrific feedback and Guy Grossi's show where he cooked gnocchi was a major highlight."
The Cosmopolitan Hotel reported the "biggest Spudfest yet", with stallholders also selling out of food and produce.
Up to 40 per cent of guests were local, 35 per cent from Melbourne and the rest from surrounding areas.
Ms Carboon said one family had even come from Adelaide for the festival.
"We get really excited to showcase Trentham and see people come from far and wide," she said.
"We had spud art on display, from 100 primary school students which really added to the atmosphere."
And next year?
"Bigger and better, of course."
