About 120 students from Newlyn, Bullarto, Hepburn and Creswick North Primary School’s braved freezing conditions to compete in the annual sports carnival.
This year it was held at the Newlyn Football Oval, with students testing their limits in a range of different athletics events.
Bullarto Primary School principal Arthur Lane said despite the cold weather, it was a fantastic day.
“It was one of the coldest days of the year, but that didn’t seem to bother the students, they had a brilliant time,” he said.
“There was about 70 or 80 separate events put on, on the day, for students aged between five and 12-years-old.
“Everyone had a lot of fun, it was a fantastic event.”
Mr Lane thanked the Newlyn Football Club for allowing the schools to use the ground for the sport’s day.
