The Taking The Waters event featured Indigenous dancing, a circus performance and music from local bands, including The Cartwheels.
Committee member Gary Lawrence said he hoped more people would visit the gem after the weekend's event.
"It really is spectacular down there and we want everyone to go and enjoy it," he said.
"We're even talking about having more music at the Sound Shell which would just be fantastic."
A new pedestrian bridge was also launched at the event.
The $120,000 bridge, which spans 32.5 metres and weighs approximately six tonnes, was co-funded by Hepburn Shire and the state government.
Mayor Kate Redwood said the bridge would link the township with the reserve, while encouraging more people to explore the area.
"During the streetscape planning, connectivity was identified as an important aspect and that is what we're offering here," she said.
