Residents have reported regular outages over recent weeks, with many saying it is affecting business in town.
The outages come after a tragic accident on March 14, when a car ran into a major piece of Powercor’s infrastructure on Black Swamp Road in Leigh Creek.
The accident resulted in a fatality, a grass fire spanning 2500msq and 3600 litres of oil spilling on site, which Powercor said delayed the clean-up and usual assessment and repair process.
It rerouted power supply, but the temporary measure resulted in fluctuations in the electricity supply, a spokeperson said.
"The assessment also revealed additional works were required on another part of the network," he said.
"This is to ensure that impact on your supply would be minimised upon restoration and has resulted in a slight further delay in permanent repairs."
Final repairs to the damaged infrastructure are expected to be complete by March 31, with normal supply resuming after that.
The upgrade works are in addition to planned maintenance works in the Daylesford region.
