The Anzac 100 event, held on April 11 from 6pm, will feature a free community event in Vincent Street followed by a concert at Daylesford Town Hall.
The Creswick Light Horse Troop, vintage cars and fire appliances, and bands will all feature at the street event.
There will also be a plaque presentation to honour nine Daylesford firemen who enlisted for WWI, four of which were killed in action.
It will conclude with the Ode, Last Post and Reveille, played by a young woman bugler on the Town Hall balcony.
"People will be making their own history by trying to imagine what life must have been like then when families were broken by war," Daylesford RSL president Ian Tinetti said.
"It's not a time to celebrate, but remember in whatever way we can."
A concert at 7.30pm will follow the community event, featuring dancing and performances by Sallie Harvey, Jennie Brown and Nel Staite.
All proceeds will go towards the refurbishment of the Daylesford War Memorial. For more information go to www.anzac100.org.au
