Attracting their largest number of competitors, about 67 riders tested their skills across five different grade levels, with some riders and mounts travelling from as far as the Yarra Valley to compete.
Riders as young as young as five years of age saddled up and enjoying the day at the picturesque Newbury Reserve.
The Trentham PC is a small club within the PCAV Central Zone, boasting 15 full members; the pony club aims to educate children about the art of horsemanship.
Organisers say it was great to see a club of put on an event of this caliber, with many riders using this event to hone their skills for the upcoming state championship.
Many Pony Clubs rely on sponsorship from the local businesses for financial support through out the year.
Trentham PC was proud to have Biggin and Scott Real Estate in Daylesford come on board this year as Major Sponsor of the Dressage Day.
Managing Director Michael Devinentis was on hand to present the ribbons to the winners on the day.
“It’s such a great thing seeing the kids and their horses, so well presented,” Devinentis said.
“This will give them valuable life lessons, not to mention life-long childhood memories.
“The passion the kids have is priceless, and they are outdoors, living life to the fullest giving it a go.”
