The man was intercepted by police on the weekend as part of Operation Summer Stay.
The statewide campaign targets drivers over the festive break in a bid to keep people safe on our roads.
Sergeant Barry Hills said as a result, 1000 drivers across the region had been intercepted by Daylesford Police over the last three weeks.
Of those, five exceeded the legal alcohol limit.
"Obviously we would like a zero return, but these numbers are quite good," Sergeant Hills said.
"Hopefully people are starting to get the message to behave on our roads."
