The local ceramics co-operative worked out of Door 3 in East Street for several years, but was left without anywhere to go last month.
Member Tania Verdez said there were a lot of tired artists, but people were "coming together to make it work".
"Being forced out of the other space has been very very hard on us, and things were looking very bad," she said.
"We had 15 years worth of belongings in the former studio and it was just so much work to move it all."
But now, they will move into a smaller studio at the East Street industrial estate.
"We were lucky that the previous tenant there has opened a studio from home," Ms Verdez said.
"Now we can open a studio space with a retail venue and we are also wanting to offer classes and sculpture workshops - there are lots of dreams and a lot of community support."
As part of ARTober, the group will host its annual exhibition coinciding with the Rotary Art Show.
It will feature ceramic art and paintings, furniture by local artists and live music by local band Mana.
The 50-member group will also launch a Posible campaign at the event, to raise money for the new studio.
"We are hoping to use the exhibition to raise moral and some much needed funds to move ahead," Ms Verdez said.
The event will be held upstairs at The Rex over the Melbourne Cup weekend, opening on October 31 from 5pm.
