Beer servers and beer lovers from the Cumberland Hotel and Black Duck Hotel congregated for 18 holes to determine which pub held top honour.
A prized wooden trophy was up for grabs, with Cumberland Hotel winning the inaugural first prize.
Manager Amanda Bomphrey said the rivalry wasn't over yet, with the pubs hoping to make it an annual event.
"We just wanted a good day for everyone to come together because we all know one another," she said.
“It was more a day for beer lovers than golf lovers and for many, it was the first time they had played golf.
"Some regulars who go to both pubs had to choose who to play for but we worked it out in the end.
“Maybe next year we will try bowls. And hopefully we’ll end up with the trophy again.”
