Top start for Charles in Daylesford senior tennis

Daylesford senior tennis recommenced on January 7 after the Christmas break.

Two closely-fought sections and a pair of social players took to the courts which are in good nick, having been recently mowed and relined.

In Section 1 current men's champion Ken Charles with 22/16 edged out Taylor Hofman and Bernie Frith each with 22/19.

In Section 2 it was even closer as Helen Jenkin 20/15 snuck ahead of John Turnbull 22/17 to win, with David Tindall 23/21 third and Gabe Kirby 18/18 fourth.

Saturday senior tennis continues this week .

Juniors tennis starts on January 21. Any senior players who can contribute to teaching the beginners from 10-11am on Saturday mornings on a once-a-month basis should contact Greg Malcher on 5348 2536.
