IT WAS a big day out two days early for the two Ws as Winston Silbereisen and Warwick Clough won their divisions on Saturday.
In Division 1, Winston continued his good form to record an emphatic 24/10 victory ahead of perennial bridesmaid Adrian Maude second with 22/17. Taylor Hofffman 22/18 came third, ahead of Bernie Frith, all-square with 20/20.
In Division 2, Warwick with 22/13 accounted for Pat Murray, second with 19/12. John Turnbull 19/14 and Gabe Kirby 20/14 squabbled over third with John prevailing. Paddy Dwyer was fifth with 22/16 and Trish Kevin was also in positive territory with 21/19 to come sixth.
The afternoon tea roster for this week is Jim Dwyer, Peter Risstrom, Berbie Frith and Taylor Hoffman.
The club encourages all members and past players to join the Saturday competition. The ladder system means that players do not have to commit to playing each week, just when it it suits them. Players unable to attend by 1.15pm should notify the club of their late arrival via Greg
