Rogaine navigators descend on Porcupine Ridge property

THE first of the dual six-hour rogaine weekends for 2010 was held at Porcupine Ridge on Saturday and Sunday.

Daryl and Janet Macdonald's property on the Porcupine Ridge Rd was the location of the Hash House (base camp) for the Rogaines.

Competitors travelled on foot, navigating with a map and compass between checkpoints.

Out of a possible 1900 points on each day, the results are as follows:

Saturday

1st Tony Bird and Peter Irish 1340 points

2nd Len Budge and Tim Dent 1250 Points

3rd Bob Reaburn and Jun Okabe 1110 points

Sunday

1st Vic Sedunary and Merv Trease 1410 points

2nd Luke Haines and Stephen Parker 1320 points

Equal 3rd Alaster Meahan and Jame Olszewski with Tom Lothian and Kate Gavens 1080 points
